Can my church get a grant to remodel in order to house hurricane evacuees?
My church is willing to house emergency evacuaes. We would do some remodleing in our older church building and fix up some classrroms.

That sounds like a very worthwhile goal. Please check out Grants for Churches. It provides a summary of the places the authors have found that specifically provide grants to churches. You might also contact non-profits in your area that do similar types of projects -- they might welcome a partner to work with and know where to look for grants.
