My grandaughter is 5 years old and has had to wear glasses since she was 2 years old. Her prescription has changed many times over the years and now due to her eye not responding to the lense changes she is required to have vision therapy. Due to her age this procedure is not covered by insuance and will cost $120.00 for her weekly visit which she must go for one year. Are there grants for kids who require vision therapy?

StuDaddy that does sound like a lot to have to pay out of pocket, bummer that it's not covered by  insurance! The government might be able to help you though --- I would try a couple of sites that might either help or point you in the right direction. The first is a site about grants and aid for those with disabilities. If you check out this guide to disability.gov you may be able to find help in your local area. Also check out this site about grants for kids --- it covers a lot of different aspects about helping get services for children.  Good luck!
