My husband died from an opiate overdose, from medication his doctor prescribed. Are there any grants to help us? I have already been receiving survivor benefits for myself and our child. I am wondering, because I want to put him in private school, and the SS benefits don't allow me to afford that. Is there a grant for a widow with child, whose husband died from doctor prescribed opiate overdose?

I am not aware of any grant specifically available for your specific situation. However, there are a number of programs and resources you should be aware of as a widow with a child or children. You can see a good overview  and get good tips for finding resources in Grants for Widows with Children and Widows With Children: More Resources.
