My teeth are in very bad shape. My husband died and a big factor was his teeth in very poor condition. I am 63 years old and very concerned that this is effecting my health. I am on limited, fixed income and on medicare. I received an answer and they wanted $25.00 to see if I qualify. I hope I am speaking to someone connected to the Federal Government.  I really need help and so far I still don't have an answer. Are there free grants for dentures?

First let me point out that this site and the people who respond to questions are not connected in any way to the federal or state government. This is a platform that allows people to ask questions related to grants and get answers from the community and people who have knowledge and experience in different areas related to grants and other financial assistance.

You are right that the health of your teeth and gums is critical to your overall health. We are not familiar with any legitimate service that can find you a grant or that has any reason to require $25 from you just to see if you qualify. We would not recommend that you give them any money

I'm not sure specifically about dentures but there are a number of programs and services offereing financial assistance or free or low cost service for dental care. Take a look at this review of such services in Free Dental Care, and also see how to find these programs near you.
