I must say I'm concerned about your question Imbb --- it sounds like you have been scammed. Unfortunately there are people out there who get just enough information about you to sound legit and they call and say that you have won a grant. But the U.S. government does not operate this way, and they NEVER call to tell you that you have won a grant you don't even know about. And it NEVER costs anything to receive a grant. I'm afraid you probably can't cancel whatever payment you have already made -- and you will never see the alleged "grant" money. So sorry about that. But you should report it and maybe there is some action that will happen as a result. Please read this quick article about phone call scams and learn how to recognize them and what you should do about it.
