I have been inconcerated for most of my life and I am now a 27 year old felon who is not on parole or probation. I am having a very hard time finding a job that will help me support my two daughters and myself so, I would like to start my own bussiness in plumbing. I have experience in this field and am very good at it. How do I get a grant to start a business if I am a felon?
Good for you! Many people find that starting their own business is a great way to get around all kinds of bias and discrimination. The SBA (Small Business Administration) is a great plade to start for anyone interested in beginning their own business -- they do not treat ex-offenders any differently from other folks.
