I would like to know how do I go by getting an application so I can apply for grants.  I need one for getting computers for our senior center to assist seniors in computer skills.  Too many of us don't have skills even with just Microsoft software. Where do I get grant application for senior center computers?

Here are some things to try:

- Do an internet search of community development grants available for your city/county/state. Often the states have block grants that let them support this kind of activity.

- Check out this article about grants for nonprofits. It will give you some good tips about how to go about finding government as well as private and foundation grants. If your senior center is a not a nonprofit you might be able to partner with a local one so that you're elibible for more grants.
- Take a look at the tomsofmaine website and their program called "50 states for good." They support programs that "do good in their communities" and in 2015 they provided $20,000 to grassroots nonprofits in each state in the U.S. Your timing might be good to apply for their 2017 grant program.
