I want to build high hoop green houses to raise peach trees so frost and freeze won't kill blooms and young fruit.  Then I will plant strawberries  on racks so to put more plants in for more pruduction,  then blackberries to raise inside to keep birds for them and from blueberries too. Same with raspberries. I also want to raise vegables using hyprondic techniques, and vegables like herbs, onions and potatoes and tomatoes, cabbage and lettuces and other vegables to eat and to sell and donate some to senior citizens to help them out. I will sell some to pay for more supplies and also to plant apple trees and pears and pecans to sell and to eat and help my family with fresh food -- not store bought and not using any chemicals on fruit trees and vegables. I need to purchase a tractor with a crop manure spreader to spread compost on crop and a truck to haul in compost and sand to loosen soil and track hose to clean up some of the land and dirt to level field and fill in washouts on creek bank and fill in places to level up ground so it will drain off easily  and level a spot to place equipment. And at the same time I will need to  to build a shed to cover and keep it out of weather. Are there grants to start a farm?

Jesse that is a tall order! It's great that you want to do all that and there is a lot of interest these days in doing one's own gardening and raising your own food. There is also a decrease in the number of farmers and of new farmers starting out. The good news about that is that the government and others want to encourage those just starting out so it's possible you could find some grant money or very reasonable loans. Take a look at this article about Grants for Farms and also go to the website of the Department of Agriculture to see what programs they might have available for people ike you.
