Can a convicted felon qualify for any grants?

I was convicted of drug trafficking. Can a convicted felon qualify for any grants?

It probably depends on the type of grant you are looking for. If you want financial aid to go back to school  your conviction does not necessarily keep you from getting aid --- unless you were receiving aid when you were convicted. And some grants may still be available to you based on how long ago you were convicted. So if you're looking for school aid be sure to fill out your FAFSA and answer the conviction honestly --- they'll ask you more questions if there's an issue.

If you apply for other types of grants I don't think that you would have a problem, but if so it will be spelled out in the eligibility section. Check out some of the programs discussed in this article about Grants for Felons.
